I finally decided it was time to start a blog about the things we do around the area. We wrote a blog about our last vacation, so why not write about the things we do here?
DC and Baltimore have a lot to offer; culture, history, nature, sports, concerts ... you name it, it's here. A lot of the things we do are local events and regional attractions; not things you'd find in a guide book necessarily, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Note: all distances are calculated from downtown Washington DC. The ratings reflect how something compares to other attracties we've visited, not how much fun we had, e.g. we had a great time at Antietam, but compared to other parks it's only so-so.
Entrance fees sometimes allow 3-day access. You can check the parks website for more information on a particular park. Access to national parks is free with the national park pass.
